JOIN THE ANNUAL FREEDOM RIDE IN OCCUPIED PALESTINE
The Freedom Theatre in partnership with many other organisations, including Jordan Valley Solidarity and the South Hebron Hills Popular Committee, annually organises a Freedom Ride in the West Bank, usually in March when people from across Palestine and abroad join communities at risk of forced expulsion from their ancestral homelands. The Freedom Ride includes interactive workshops, guided walks, volunteer work, political actions and cultural events. Through Playback Theatre, local residents share personal accounts about the realities of life and struggle under settler colonialism, military occupation and structural apartheid.
THE FREEDOM BUS
The Freedom Bus, an initiative of The Freedom Theatre, uses interactive theatre and cultural activism to bear witness, raise awareness and build alliances throughout occupied Palestine and beyond. Endorsers of the Freedom Bus include Alice Walker, Angela Davis, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, John Berger, Judith Butler, Luisa Morgantini, Maya Angelou, Mairead Maguire, Mazin Qumsiyeh, Noam Chomsky, Omar Barghouti and Peter Brook. The Freedom Bus is also endorsed by the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions National Committee (BNC) and the Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel (PACBI). A range of other artists, activists, academics and organizations have endorsed the Freedom Bus

Best wishes, Jan Hildebrandt
Hi Jan, unfortunately the Freedom Ride only takes place once a year. Keep posted for other solidarity actions though!
Hi this is Abhishek. I’m from India. I’m aspiring film maker and i”ve been into documentary film making for a while. And i’ve come to know about this freedom bus through freedom theatre and now its my dream to make a documentary on freedom bus. So, is it possible to work with you guys to make this project on freedom bus?? I just like to document the whole process of freedom bus and its activities while fighting against Israel’s ethnic cleansing program.
Looking forward for it
Thanks,
Best,
Dear Abhishek, that’s absolutely possible – the easiest thing would be if you could send an email to info@thefreedomtheatre.org to explain what it is you want to do. If you’re aiming to join this year’s ride it’s happening during March 19-30.
